
I recently traveled to Money, MS to visit the store. I also went to the Tallahatchie River where they found his body. Check out the pics:

I don't know how busy the town was back then, but it's pretty dead today. This is the view from the side of the store:
Whoever owns this property is just letting it fall apart. I wish it could be renovated and turned into a museum:

i really enjoyed this post Nikki, I just get so emotional when I read or think about what our people had to go threw. I enjoyed the pictures seem like i was right there experiencing every moment with you.
ReplyDeleteThanks!!! Have you seen the documentary? The sad part about this story is that the men confessed to killing Emmett in a magazine for four thousand dollars... I'm just like you, I get so emotional and upset. I'm happy you enjoyed it!
